起源：春節的來歷，在我國大約有四千多年的歷史了。它是我國民間最熱鬧、最隆重的壹個傳統節日。古代的春節，是指農歷二十四個節氣中的“立春”時節，南北朝以後才將春節改在壹年歲末，並泛指整個春季，這時大地回春，萬象更新，人們便把它作為新的壹年的開始。到了辛亥革命後的民國初年，改農歷為公歷[陽歷]後，便將正月初壹定為春節。直到1949年9月27日，中國人民政治協商會議上才正式把正月初壹的新年定為“春節”，因而至今仍有許多人將過春節叫過年。

年：?人們常把過春節說成“過年”，而“年”的最初含義與今天根本不同。據說，在很古的時候，世界上有壹種最兇惡的野獸叫“年”。它生長得比駱駝還大。跑起來比風還快，吼起來比雷還響。它壹出來，見人吃人，見畜傷畜，人們的生命安全受到嚴重威脅。天神為了懲罰“年”，把它鎖進深山，只許它壹年出山壹次。人們在長期的實踐中，發現了“年”有“三怕”——怕紅顏色、怕響聲、怕火光。於是，有壹年臘月三十晚，大夥在門口貼上紅紙，不斷地敲鑼打鼓、放鞭炮，晚上屋子裏徹夜點上燈。“年”晚上來了壹看，家家燈光通明；壹聽，處處放炮聲，嚇得它不敢進村。白天它又偷偷下山來，見還是戶戶門上紅，遍地咚咚響，嚇得它膽顫心驚，調頭又跑回去了。從此後，“年”壹直沒敢再來，據說餓死在深山老林裏了。後來，人們才把防“年”、“驅年”，變成安安穩穩地過年了。“年”沒有了，但是過年的習俗仍保持著。鮮紅的春聯，輝煌的燈火，清脆的爆竹，響亮的鑼鼓，年年如此
